The Concept Several years ago Pineland recognised the demand that existed for traditionally jointed solid wood kitchens at sensible prices. We feel that too many kitchens today look synthetic and uniform in design - more like a science laboratory than the "engine room" of the home. The Product We supply fully assembled kitchens in modular form which combine to form fully fitted kitchens. Our kitchens are made of solid wood throughout including frames. No plywood or chipboard is used. All joints are morticed or dovetailed. Where possible cabinets are delivered in clusters/combinations with all the doors hung, drawers fitted, cornice supplied to fit on site. The price Initially before you become too involved you will want an idea of the cost. As a rough guide an average Pineland kitchen costs £ 3,500  (delivered incl. VAT). Allow around £ 1500  for worktops / taps / sink and tiles and this means you can effectively install a solid wood traditional farmhouse kitchen at a cost of £ 5,000 or less. To this should be added the cost of fitting. This is considerably less than normal as units arrive ready to install, so no building / searching for missing parts etc. is involved. Usually if the builder is involved with attendant plumbers / tilers and electricians there is no need for a specialist fitter. In well over half of the kitchens we supply, customers fit their own kitchens with occasional help from family/friends. Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge The procedure Step 1   Telephone or email us for a comprehensive brochure / price list. Use the brochure to calculate roughly what your kitchen will cost. Remember in almost every case our final quotation will be less than your estimate as we combine units to effect savings. Step 2   If you feel our kitchens are within your budget, either visit one of our showrooms or fax/post or email us a simple layout plan showing in imperial or metric measurements the location of windows/doors and ceiling height and initially where you feel you'd like to position appliances. If you have general appliance details, that would help, as would a daytime contact number should we need to query anything. Don't worry if you don't have finalised room or appliance dimensions, plans can be modified up to 14 days before delivery. If sending us details we will send you a FREE (no obligation), detailed plan - fully costed Step 3   Having got this far, telephone and arrange to visit us. As you already know the outside total cost we can discuss your kitchen project in a relaxed atmosphere and whilst hand drawing a three dimensional plan, input some good ideas. Step 4   If you wish to go ahead nothing could be simpler: - No deposit is required - Payment is on delivery No contracts are signed - We will make your kitchen on trust so to speak and… Deliver it to you on time - Average lead time is 6 to 10 weeks depending on location / factory loading.
